Paul Findlayson PAN PAN PAN Landing gear deployed turning final when the sim would not unpause. Multiple attempts were made to correct the situation after 9+ hours of flight. QRH(google) was deployed to find a solution, many keyboard warriors had different accounts of a similar bug but none to help out my situation. I restowed the gear whilst tapping the P key and low and behold it began playing again. Was going to attempt a belly landing as a desperate pilot trying to retain my flight hours. A steady approach and redeployment of the gear just prior to touchdown was the key to walk away from this near disaster. Good flight up to that point, no further problems to report.
Paul Findlayson Due to a massive tailwind and violent turbulence on take off over the Hawiian mountains, airspeed was not maintainable below FL100, an overspeed was recorded and all efforts were made to maintain the required airspeed without crashing into the mountains. Was a very memorable flight : )
